Want to be a Poll Worker? The Election Commission sometimes has difficulty finding enough poll workers to provide the three “Democrat and two Republican” resident eligible voters to work the polls of each of Faulkner County precincts. Those who work the polls do so as a public service and are generally paid about $115 for the 14-hour day and training session they attend. Poll workers must be registered voters. If you would be available and interested in serving in this capacity please send your request to: Melinda.Reynolds@faulknercc.org or contact the appropriate party representative on the Election Commission (Frank Shaw if Democrat, Phillip Liggitt if Republican) with your Name, Address, and political party affiliation (or note you are an “independent” if you did not vote in a party primary). The election commission uses the list of previous workers, and list of possible new workers to appoint the teams for each polling location. For more information on becoming a poll workers, please call the Faulkner County Clerk at 450-4909. |
